A Little bit more about myself

Here is another round of get to know Jessica's Creations:)

Favorite Holiday: Christmas of course! I put the tree up every year the day after Thanksgiving.
My main goal in life: I know this is going to sound Miss America like but I just want to be as good a role model as I can be. Too many people take life for granted.
What do I LOVE MOST about crocheting: Well dressing all those cute little babies and kids :) I try to be as current as possible so a lot of my inspiration come from what the babes wear now.

Life couldn't be better or more hectic but I love every minute of it!

Christmas Has begun!

Started working on those Christmas themed hats for you fans :) I will be offering Reindeer, Polar Bears, and Penguins.

Christmas is my favorite time of year so I am so excited I am also going to offer ornament versions of all of the hats I offer:) They make great personalized Christmas presents:)

I am working on my first written pattern for sale. I have friend testing it I will let you know when it is ready. In the mean time here a preview....

Life is stressful but good :)

It has been awhile but things are going great. The orchard is keeping me busy and last Saturday I started my crazy month that is October. This Saturday is Pugtober Fest and this month marks Jessica's Creations 1 yr anniversary. YAY!!! I totally love my job! What could be better than dressing adorable babies and kids :) I am now working on some new patterns for a Penguin hat and I am going to do Cable Stitches for the first time. Well time to get back to work. 4 more Festivals to go!

Busy, Busy, busy......

shew....... I knew I would get busier but I didn't expect this.... I am so thankful for it though. Sorry I haven't posted in the last week but I have been trying to catch up on orders and finish the big one for the local orchard. Plus I still have to be ready for next months fairs and festivals. I might be a crazy person after this all over but I am loving every minute of it. Here's some things I have been working on....

So I am working on a big order for the local orchard. They ordered something like 7 different styles of hats:) I am gonna be one crazy crocheting momma. Can't wait to show you all the work...... Stay tuned.....

I realized I always talk to you all about the business side but you know almost nothing about me.. Here are some fun facts:)

Where I am from: Originally Cincinnati but have been living in Lexington, KY for almost 10 yrs
Favorite Color: Constantly Changes - Green right now
Favorite Food: Mexican but will try almost anything
Favorite Decade: Hmm I love the 60's because of the great Music but I like the 40's because of the clothes
Favorite movie: 50 First Dates - I love all romantic comedies though.
Something most people wouldn't guess when they first meet me: I am kind of geeky but even though I am a bit of a tomboy I can be pretty girly

Great Demo today at Michaels and maybe some new classes...

Thanks to everyone who stopped by the demo when coming in today.

So hopefully soon I will get to offer more classes at Michaels. They are talking about open-ended classes as well as some new projects on the schedule. Will be able to tell more once they send me the official  word.

 Also met the Girl Scout Leader whose troop I am teaching in November. I am so excited and nervous. It is going to be fun:)

I am now offering car seat blankets. The beautiful thing about these is they buckle in with your little ones. They are a easy to mange carseat size featuring an opening so that the buckle at the bottom will come through. What a great and no fuss way to keep your little one warm!

Had a great weekend:) Now time to get back to work...

Had a great weekend celebrating my amazing nephews birthday on Saturday. He has truly blessed our lives and considering everything he been through since being born 3 years ago, he still amazes me.

 So I think that I am going to be on an owl kick for a bit. I figured out how to make owl appliques and am currently adding one to a wrap sweater. I am also about to get crazy making lots o animals hats. Also for you Lexington, KY followers a local photographer , Amanda Mitchell Photography, and I will be making hats for mini sessions in October.

What to do, What to do..........

What to do today?....... Hmmm I think I will get some new projects and designs done :) You know sometimes while I think OMG why did I make my hobby my job other times I think OMG how lucky am I that that get to do what I love and get paid for it. I get to be creative and I get to take care of my boys :) Plus I get to dress all those adorable babies and kids.

For you Lexington People I will be doing a demo for my crochet classes at the Michael's on Nicholasville Rd. from 1pm-3pm. Please come stop by and see me do what I love to do.

Finally something accomplished......

So I have been a busy little bee lately trying to get some things done so I can take it out to the baby store.

 Gotta get ready for the Fall Rush. In other news..... My classes are going ok considering. I have found that a lot of people just don't have the time they used to. I hope that things pick up a bit soon. In the mean time I am just gonna keep doing what I do which is crochet like a mad woman LOL. You should come check out the new product on my FaceBook page.

Getting back in the groove....

So I had been kind of taking a hiatus from crocheting for a bit but now I am back in the groove finally:) I am stocking up for the fall and hopefully will be back in Cradle Will Rock for fall and winter this year. I am also running a sale for July and of course taking on my new venture as crochet instructor for a couple of Michael's store here in Lexington and Frankfort. I had my first class yesterday and it went great. Next week I am doing a new class called Discovering Granny Squares on Friday July 15 from 6pm-8:30pm. It is just $25 and will be a lot of fun. I am also hoping to get to writing my first pattern to share. Stay tuned my friends...

I am now a Crochet Instructor in a second Michael's Store :)

For those of you who live in Frankfort, KY I will be a crochet instructor for the new Michaels opening there. I will be doing demos Sunday July 17, 3pm-5pm and Monday July 18, 4pm-7pm.

I have my first Crochet Class Scheduled!

I officially have my first student for my crochet classes at Michael's! I am so excited! For those of you that might be interested I am starting classes next Sat. June 25 from 3pm-5pm. I will be doing another demo on Fri. June 24 so come sign up!
